I have been posting news and information on social media in support of Palestinian people since the attack of resistance by Hamas on October 7, 2023. Instagram shadow banned my account several times, which means instead of hundreds of people seeing my posts they would only appear on 7 – 10 pages of people who followed my account. I am going to post here what is banned on Instagram.
I do not use profanity, or insults. The information I post is truthful, but Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram does not want it presented to their users. News media is also not presenting accurate or complete facts regarding the war on Gaza, and Palestinian people. Here is what they are censoring: December 27, 2023 I posted a comment stating that 90% of media (news and entertainment) in western Europe and the United States is owned by 6 corporations.
The Big 6 are: National Amusements, Disney, Time Warner, Comcast, News Corp and Sony. This monopoly on news and information leaves audiences misinformed, or completely ignorant of some facts. I learned about this monopoly on media a few months ago.
Prior to this eye-opening information I assumed that whatever aired on the news was the most important facts of the day. I learned years ago that news media was “tailored” to garner a broad audience and ratings. I saw the film “Network” that was a satire on television and the unsavory business hidden beyond the cameras. I did not know how much was hidden, or that social media would make the practice worse.
